A siege is referred to a faction(s) assaulting a fortress. Successfully conquering a fortress requires a lot of Daevas and decent coordination by the alliances. Glory Points can be earned through fortress sieges by killing the enemy faction or Balaur near or inside the fortress.
Mechanics[]
Fortresses can only be captured when they are Vulnerable. Each fortress turns vulnerable for a period of 1hour on set days and moments, according to a schedule. The siege schedule is included with the latest patch notes for your region. A message will also be broadcast in-game when a fortress turns vulnerable. Prior to this time you'll usually see alliances recruiting on the LFG chat channel.
To capture a fortress the faction must usually vanquish its protector, a legendary-grade raid boss known as a Guardian General. In some cases, such as the Divine Fortress, the faction must instead collect points through completing various objectives. Details about how each siege works can be found on the concerning fortress' page.
Artifacts can be captured prior and during siege, and can provide assistance to your race. Strategic use of some of them can turn the tide of battle during the right moment.
Usually the conquering faction will defend their fortress during the next siege. Subsequent successful defends will provide the opposing faction with a proportionally increasing buff to raise their chances of capturing it on the next attempt. Some fortresses will be reset to Balaur control prior the Siege instead.

Trivia[]
- Prior to the 6.0 update the game had many fortresses in the game, most notably in the Abyss. Due to most of these having grown obsolete and the schedule being overfilled this was cut down to two fortresses with the 6.0 update.
