New Year Event 2010-2011

Ring in the Year of the Ribbit with a feast fit for an Empyrean Lord! The monsters have gotten into the banquet supplies, and it's up to you to retrieve them. You can feast on them yourself (and, trust us—they are nutritious AND delicious), or you can trade them in to one of the event staff who are trying to put together lunch boxes to feed the needy. If you choose this path, you will be rewarded handsomely for your efforts.

In addition to a cornucopia of potions, scrolls, manastones, and medals, you will have the chance to celebrate appropriately by dressing up as a Ribbit, this year's iconic animal, with a full set of Ribbit costume pieces.

Description

Celebrants all over Atreia will be ushering in the Year of the Ribbit from Wednesday December 22nd, 2010 to Wednesday January 12th, 2011.

Retrieve the New Year food from the many scavenging monsters, return it to the event staff, and receive rewards including potions, scrolls, manastones, and medals, as well as a special themed costume.

How to Start

New Year Event Staff NPCs in Sanctum and Pandaemonium give out the relevant quests.

Each quest can be repeated up to ten times.

Namor and Nepor will send you out hunting monsters all over Atreia, to collect three different edible items: <[Event] New Year Leek Dumpling>, <[Event] New Year Bulgogi>, and <[Event] New Year Cordial>. Every quest requires a certain quantity of all three items, which is indicated in the right-hand column of the table above.

Since all quests are repeatable up to ten times, there is more than enough opportunity to get all the costume items from the most challenging (requires 15 of each food item) quest on each side.

The Blessed Presents and the Lucky Presents can each be unwrapped to reveal a random potion, scroll, manastone, or medal, with the Lucky Presents having a slightly better chance to contain the medal items.
