Heiron H

Heiron forms the southeastern side of the continent of Elysea, and is the main player zone for level 11 to 40 Elyos characters. It is a rough, beautiful and yet frightening land, where all that remains of the once blissful past are weathered ruins and forgotten tales.

Players can fly within New Heiron Gate and the Storm Circle due to the high concentrations of Aether there. Major towns in Heiron include Arbolu's Haven and Jeiaparan Village, although there are a number of smaller outposts and towns as well.

Lay of the Land Edit

Heiron

Map of Heiron

Heiron is a land that is rife with challenges. The Lepharists and all sorts of vicious wildlife lurk in the dense jungles to the west, and all that remains of the once lush plantations of the east is a vast, barren wasteland that is teeming with ghosts and undead. The greatest challenges however can be found south of the Kishar Observation Post, where the local Krall are locked in a fierce three-way struggle with some of their corrupted tribesmen and the Balaur, as the Indratu Legion has recently invaded Heiron and discovered a way to survive despite the absence of Drana in the region. And as if that wasn't enough, a former Asmodian Archon by the name of <Bollvig> has been building up an massive undead army of slain Elyos soldiers in the vicinity of Jeiparan Village.

Players will start in the recently restored New Heiron Gate (bottom-left) and will first have to work their way through the jungles of Heiron's left half of the map before they arrive at Arbolu's Haven. Flight teleports and bind teleportation points are available for fast and smooth progress. After resting up and preparing oneself it is time to venture Heiron's forsaken right half, and to either fight and emerge victorious, or to perish and be added to the threats.

The map also has three districts with a couple of houses in them.

History Edit

Heiron appears to have originally been a breadbasket for Elysea, as evidenced by the plantation ruins and few surviving agricultural areas. During a terrible Krall invasion at some time in the past however about half of Heiron was burned and destroyed. The souls of the slain civilians cursed the Daevas who did not come to their aid that day, and continue to wander these grounds as undead even now.

Trivia Edit

  • Heiron originally was a zone for level 32-45 Elyos characters. Content on the map was adjusted as part of the 6.0 update due to the map taking over the role of Verteron and Eltnen. Several sub-zones, such as New Heiron Gate and Arbolu's Haven also received a graphical overhaul with the update.
  • Originally players were be able to travel to Beluslan via rifts that would periodically appear on the map. After the 6.0 update rifts no longer appear in Heiron, possibly due to the efforts that were undertaken to stabilize the Tower of Eternity throughout the 5.x update.
