Aion: Legions of War was a mobile game from NCsoft based on the popular MMORPG Aion. The game was initially revealed at the G-Star 2014 conference with a brief teaser demonstrating possible game-play elements. The game received a soft-launch for Android devices on July 28th, 2017. The game received an official worldwide launch on January 24th, 2019. However, the game met it's demise in June of 2020 when NCSoft decided to cease development.
The combat was described as a "mixture of timing, strategy, and team composition." The game's campaign followed the story of Ren, a cadet of the Silver Legion, who follows his half-brother and commander of the Silver Legion, Candor, into the Abyss in search of Priestess Astria. The game relied on a recruitment system of many heroes from Atriea which can be recruited from a powerful material known as confinite.
