AoE or Area of Effect is the definition of a spell or ability which affects a designated area, whether it be destructive or helpful. For example, AoE spells or abilities are used by Tank classes to increase Enmity, or by Healer classes to group heal, or by Sorcerers and Spiritmasters to affect multiple mobs.
